It was great fun, usually more fun than the average babysitter. I can't really say why, or give many concrete answers i remember going to playgrounds, making candy and cookies, playing mini-golf but they are mostly broken bits of memories.
My favorite part was how to say goodbye: with a hug and a kiss and a hug and a kiss and a hug and a kiss. Grandpa's face is priceless. This book is absolutely adorable and funny. I liked it slightly better than its companion book, how to babysit a grandpa. It is from the child's perspective. Of course he isn't being babysat by grandpa. It's the other way around. The two guys have great fun together. The illustrations are cute and colorful.

As a mom of one five-year-old girl, tapping into our family resources has helped my husband and i manage a busy household and the demands of work, social obligations and extracurricular activities (both ours and our daughter’s). But while our family is there to lean on, we decided early on that we didn’t want to rely on our parents for regular childcare needs.
